Terms of Use

Platen · Printer App · Effective August 7, 2026

Platen is distributed through the App Store, and your use of it is governed by Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, which applies in full. The notes below describe how Platen works in practice; where they and the EULA differ, the EULA governs.

What Platen does

Platen sends documents from your device to a printer on your own network, and retrieves scans from a scanner on that network. It is not a cloud service and does not store your documents.

Subscriptions

Some features require Platen Pro. Prices, the billing period and any free trial are shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and cancelling is done in your Apple Account settings — Platen links you there in two taps. A lifetime purchase renews nothing. The first real print is free for everyone, without an account or a trial.

Your hardware

Platen works with printers and scanners that support the standard network protocols they advertise. It cannot control what your printer, router or network does, and it does not promise that any particular device will work. When something fails, Platen aims to tell you what and why.

No warranty

Platen is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Amenti Labs is not liable for wasted paper or ink, for documents printed incorrectly, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the effective date above changes and the updated terms are posted at this address before the change takes effect.
