Platen · Printer App · Effective August 7, 2026
Platen is built to work without knowing who you are. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, and we never ask for your name, email, or any contact information.
Files you print or scan go from your device to your printer over your own local network. Platen has no cloud storage for them and never uploads them. They are not sent to Amenti Labs, and we cannot see them. Scans are saved to your device, or to your photo library if you ask for that — Platen never reads your existing photos.
Finding a printer means looking at your Wi-Fi network for one. iOS asks your permission the first time, and the results stay on your device: the addresses and printer names Platen discovers are not sent anywhere. When a printer cannot be found, Platen runs diagnostics on your own network to explain why, and those results are shown to you and are not uploaded.
Anonymous usage data, and only this. Platen records whether a print succeeded and why one failed, so connection problems get fixed. It is not tied to your name and it never includes what you printed.
Mixpanel processes the anonymous usage data above. Superwall manages which subscription offer is shown. Apple handles all purchases — Amenti Labs never sees your payment details. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Cancelling is done in your Apple Account settings, and Platen links you there in two taps.
Platen is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes and the updated policy is posted at this address before the change takes effect.
